ART DIRECTION

As an Art Director specializing in the Apparel and Home Goods industry, my role is to lead teams of graphic designers in creating innovative and on-trend prints and patterns that align with company/client initiatives.

I support the entire lifecycle of print and pattern development, from initial concept to final production, ensuring that each design meets quality and aesthetic standards.

By optimizing processes, tools and communication, I enable efficient cross-functional collaboration, allowing for quicker turnaround times without compromising creativity or quality.

Additionally, with my extensive experience in Design, Product Development and Art Direction, I excel in presenting collections to stakeholders and leaders with my ability to speak to all parts of the design process, conveying the creative vision in a compelling and sophisticated manner that establishes trust and aligns with strategic goals.

Below is a high level example of steps I take for art direction. This is also under the assumption that color palettes and conceptual trend direction has been given. Depending on the scope and intricacy of the project- more steps may be needed. Clients using studio purchased art instead of proprietary art will also make a difference and would need to be considered for the timeline.

For an example of how I plan out a collection for art direction in apparel and home goods - please visit the “Sketching and Line Planning” section of my site.

Due to most being proprietary information I am unable to show all linesheets, however, click on the below sections for more information and pictures of on floor product that I art directed.
